I Want Out

Hidden love is a caged bird
An eagle tied to the ground
I have to share this
With anyone who wants me out
And takes me in

Two people have to give together
    In order to love together
    I can't share with you
If you keep telling me you don't want to hear it
You don't understand me
How can I make you see
You tell me you want to share in my life
But you won't let me show you
You keep putting up the defense
You fire your missiles
Instead of sharing my joy with you
I got a headache instead
Then you tell me you've been hurt

I want to jump
But desertion isn't my way
I won't give up the ship
There must be another way
    Please make me feel comfortable
    Accept me as I am
