Jesus

You call him the Son of God
But we are all the children of God
Didn't he tell us to pray to our Father
You say he died for our sins
I'm sorry
You misunderstood
He died because of our sins

Have you hurt someone
You should think about making it good
Maybe he death didn't
Is there something you wouldn't want to answer for
Figure it out
Was it wrong
You should do something about it
I don't think his death did

Heaven sent him here
Not to be popular
Seek donations
And gain power
He was sent to teach us the right way
Not to die for our wrong ways
He knew we wouldn't understand
He know they would hang him
He summed it all up
When he said
"Father forgive them
For they know not what they do"

He taught a lot
We have only learnt a little
We have changed a few things
But doing the same thing wrong
History has proven
We will believe anything
    and follow anyone
Why do we follow
Where will they lead us
How much will it cost
Afraid to walk alone
We march along

Jesus will come again
Not to be popular
Seek donations
And gain power
But teach us again
What he couldn't teach us then
Knowing this truth can set us free
