Why is Love a Crime

If I hold out my hand
will you cut it off
If I hold out my arms and offer a hug
will you say for shame
and If I tell you I love you
will you tell me I’m crazy

It is insane why we would rather be alone
and prefer pain

Oh no its me you don’t like
but you say that to everyone

A smile don’t cost nothing
and a hand shake is free
If you’re brave
You will hug me

It is difficult for me to see
If we are free
than why don’t we freely love each other
why the sticks and stones
why do you brake my bones
why is love a crime
and why do lovers do time
