NEVER FINISHED SCHOOL
NEVER LEARNED TO BE COOL

People would rather you lie to them
They would believe that
People would rather that you smile at them
They would believe that
But don't cry wolf
People don't want to hear that
Well
People can kiss my ass

Sorry to be a piece glass
Can't hide my feelings from you
Can't hide my feelings from anyone
I never finished school
Never learned to be cool
Only know how to be honest and true
But don't you treat me like a fool

I am such a lucky man
Been through peace most all my life
I should be happy about that
But only when everybody can be lucky like that
Can I be happy about that

I've seen it in the eyes of men
and hands a shaking blaze
of wrinkled faces
squinty eyes
sleeping in the streets

Don't be a fool
People don't want to hear nothing of that
Be cool and speak only flowers, rainbows and stars
Well
I never finished school
Never learned to be cool
I only know to tell it how it is
People don't like it like that
People can kiss my ass
