Twelve Wives

You can have fun with twelve wives
But it takes one hell of a man
To love all twelve
It takes twelve great women
To share so little
Oh, but if we didn't have to belong to someone
We can just love
And be loved
By someone
And let love
And only love
Keep us together
What a dream
And it seems
So few can do this
Insecure
We become frightened
For fear
We get jealous
For jealousy
We get angry
Out of anger
We start leaving
And we and everyone else wonders why
