Woman

Throughout the ages
You have been there
Helping me
Growing within you
I am a part of you
You held me in your arms
Nursing me into a man
Is it you who inspire me
Looking so beautiful to my eyes
Your laughter fills me with joy
But your tears stab me in the heart
With a soft voice
    You can make me high
But just one harsh word
I feel like I'm going to die
I could fight ten men
    and walk away
But against you
I dare not challenge
I lay down my sword
With love and respect
I thank God for you
As I came from you
As I came from you
I seek to again be a part of you
Without you, I could not be
